You will have to get married or give up custody, and that is IF you can get a waiver for dependents. If you get married, the military will consider that 4 dependents, which will make it even harder for the dependent waiver. WebActually you can join the military if you're a single parent. You just have to give up your custody while you're in bootcamp. Then when you're back, you can gain your custody back. I've heard of some single people join the Navy. It even says it on the Navy website. You just can't join if you have 2 dependents under 18.
