Hikvision playback speed greyed out

The latest one I'm trying to debug is a DS-2CD2455FWD-IW. I've tried all 5 audio encoding in the Hikvision web admin. I ended up leaving it on "G.711ulaw" after seeing some forum posts in here - still no audio.
